Boeing Lands $131.2 Billion F-15 Eagle Crest Contract

Boeing has secured a major U.S. defense contract with a potential ceiling of $131.2 billion for the F-15 Eagle Crest program, strengthening the company’s long-term role in the production, modernization and support of the F-15 fighter aircraft.

The contract, awarded by the U.S. Department of War, is structured as an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity agreement. This means the $131.2 billion figure represents the maximum potential value of the deal rather than an immediate payment or guaranteed order.

Under the agreement, Boeing could receive orders covering F-15 production, systems integration, upgrades, sustainment and depot-level maintenance. The program is expected to support the U.S. Air Force as well as international customers operating or purchasing F-15 aircraft.

Boeing will carry out the work at its facility in St. Louis, Missouri, with the contract potentially extending through 2037. The long duration gives the company a significant opportunity to maintain and expand its F-15 production and support operations.

The agreement also includes potential work associated with Foreign Military Sales, supporting F-15 requirements for U.S. allies and partners including Japan, Israel, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia and Poland.

The award highlights the continued importance of the F-15 platform more than five decades after its introduction. Boeing’s latest F-15EX variant incorporates modern avionics, electronic warfare systems and the ability to carry a large weapons load, allowing the aircraft to complement newer fighter platforms.

While the contract’s ceiling is substantial, the actual value of work Boeing ultimately receives will depend on future orders, customer requirements and available funding.

The deal nevertheless represents a significant long-term commitment to the F-15 program and provides Boeing with a potentially large pipeline of production, modernization and sustainment work over the next decade.
