Kim Zolciak Breaks Silence After Teenage Son’s Arrest

Kim Zolciak son Kroy “KJ” Biermann Jr., 15, was arrested in Georgia on suspicion of aggravated sodomy and aggravated sexual battery, prompting Kim Zolciak to speak out in his defense. KJ was arrested in Alpharetta on August 17 and is being held without bond at the Metro Regional Youth Detention Center, according to court records reported by People.

Zolciak Defends Her Son

Zolciak strongly denied the allegations against her son, describing them as “reckless and deeply troubling.” She said KJ categorically denies being involved with the female who made the allegations and maintains that he did not engage in the conduct described in the complaint.

According to Zolciak, her son also voluntarily took a polygraph test and passed it. His attorney, Jason Sheffield, has likewise maintained KJ’s innocence and urged people not to reach conclusions before the case is heard in court.

Arrest Follows April Allegation

The arrest follows an investigation into an alleged incident at a fitness center in Alpharetta in April. Authorities investigated after a female reported an alleged sexual assault. Court records indicate that KJ was subsequently arrested and charged with aggravated sodomy and aggravated sexual battery.

KJ remains presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court. The case is still developing, and the allegations have not been established as facts.

Family Faces Another Legal Battle

The arrest comes as Zolciak and former NFL player Kroy Biermann continue to deal with their contentious divorce and custody disputes. The former couple, who married in 2011, share four children, including KJ. Their divorce proceedings have remained complicated since they separated and filed for divorce in 2023.

A preliminary court hearing is scheduled for September, according to reports. Until then, Zolciak continues to publicly defend her son while the legal process moves forward.
