Samsung has officially launched its latest Galaxy lineup, introducing the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Flip8, Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Galaxy Watch9. The new devices began rolling out worldwide on August 7, with availability expanding across markets through Samsung’s website, retailers, carriers and Samsung Experience Stores.
Samsung says early interest in the new foldable lineup has been strong. Preorders for the new Galaxy Z series increased by more than 30% compared with the previous generation, according to the company. Graphite was the most popular preorder color for the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra and Z Fold8, while Pink led among Galaxy Z Flip8 customers.
Galaxy Z Fold8 Series Brings More Power
The Galaxy Z Fold8 is designed around a wider cover display and a 4:3 main screen aimed at activities such as browsing, reading, gaming and multitasking. Samsung says the device weighs 201 grams, making it the company’s lightest Galaxy Z Fold to date.
The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra takes the lineup further with an 8-inch main display, upgraded cameras and enhanced performance. It includes a 200MP main camera with HDR support in 200MP mode and a new 50MP ultra-wide camera. The device also features a 5,000mAh battery and 45W Super Fast Charging 2.0.
The Galaxy Z Flip8 focuses on portability and personalization. Its updated FlexWindow allows users to interact with apps and information directly from the cover display. Samsung has also added a 50MP camera, ProVisual Engine and flexible camera features for capturing photos and videos from different angles.
Samsung Expands Its Smartwatch Line
Alongside the foldable phones, Samsung introduced the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Galaxy Watch9. Both watches are designed to provide continuous health and activity tracking while connecting with Samsung’s broader AI ecosystem.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra2 is aimed at outdoor and performance-focused users. It comes in a 47mm size, features an 800mAh battery and offers a display with brightness of up to 5,000 nits. It also includes outdoor tracking features such as Trail Run and has IP69K and 10 ATM ratings.
The Galaxy Watch9 is positioned as an everyday health and wellness companion. It comes in 40mm and 44mm sizes and includes features such as Vitals, Heart Health Score, Daily Cardio Load and Fitness Index.

In the U.K., the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra starts at £1,899, while the Galaxy Z Fold8 starts at £1,699. The Galaxy Z Flip8 starts at £1,149. The Galaxy Watch9 starts at £349 for the 40mm Bluetooth model, while the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 is priced from £649.
Samsung is also offering six months of Google AI Pro with purchases of its new Galaxy Z series devices, while Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Watch9 buyers can receive a two-month iFIT subscription trial under the stated promotional terms.
