The project is being developed to support the growing computing needs of both Tesla and SpaceX. Its long-term goal is to produce more than 1 terawatt of computing capacity annually, supporting applications on Earth as well as future space-based technologies.

Texas Offers Incentives for the Project
The massive project could also benefit from Texas tax incentives. Terafab has filed multiple applications seeking property-tax incentives through the state’s JETI program, potentially reducing some of the costs associated with the enormous development.

If construction proceeds according to plan, the facility would not simply be another semiconductor plant it could become one of the largest industrial buildings ever constructed.
