Voters in Coconino County, Arizona, have until October 5, 2026, to register to vote in the November 3, 2026, General Election. County officials are reminding residents to check their voter registration status and make sure their information is up to date before the deadline.
Registration Deadline Approaches
The voter registration deadline for the upcoming General Election is Monday, October 5. Coconino County Recorder Aubrey Sonderegger encouraged eligible residents to register and participate in the election, describing voting as an important civic right.
Officials also reminded current voters that they may need to update their registration if they have moved, changed their name or want to change their political party affiliation. Voters can check their registration information online before Election Day.
To register online, eligible Arizona residents can use the state’s online voter registration service. An Arizona driver’s license or state identification card is required for online registration. Those without the required identification can register in person or submit a paper registration form.
Extended Hours on Oct. 5
Coconino County Voter Services offices will offer extended hours on the registration deadline. On October 5, the offices will remain open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. local time, giving residents additional time to complete the registration process.
In-person registration is available at three Coconino County locations. These include the Flagstaff Mall location between Planet Fitness and JCPenney, the Downtown Flagstaff office at 110 E. Cherry Ave., and the Voter Services Office located in the basement of the Tuba City Library on Main Street.
Residents can also register through paper forms. Forms can be printed through the county’s elections website or requested by mail by calling the Coconino County Recorder’s Office.
Who Can Register?
To register, a person must be a U.S. citizen, be at least 18 years old by Election Day and live within Coconino County. The county also states that individuals must not have felony convictions unless their civil rights have been restored.
With the October 5 voter registration deadline approaching, eligible residents are encouraged to review their registration information early. Checking registration status in advance can help voters avoid last-minute problems before the November 3 General Election.
